Brett Imamura

Pastor for equipping and teaching

As a kid, Brett watched Jesus transform his family—beginning with his mom, whose faith grew through the simple kindness of a neighbor. Her witness eventually led Brett to trust Jesus at the age of twelve. Today Brett is a husband, dad of three, and a pastor with a deep love for the local church. Before moving to Dallas-Fort Worth, he spent eight years pastoring in New York City. Having previously ministered in a city made up of many nations, he is excited to now be laboring in Valley Ranch—a neighborhood made up of many nations.

In his free time, he enjoys watching sports, pickling vegetables, discovering new restaurants with his wife Lauren, and exercising from time to time. Brett longs to see Refuge grow into a church family that knows and loves the one true God and walks in His truth and grace. He prays their worship of Jesus will overflow into genuine love for our neighbors—blessing Valley Ranch, the Metroplex, and beyond.
